My Art Began at Age 7

My grandmother, Winifred
Caldwell, encouraged me to
start drawing and painting.
Those first 2 pieces won Blue
Ribbons in the Fine Arts
Department, Children's Division
of the
Erie County Fair.

I Haven't Painted All My Life

When my grandmother died in
1971, my art seemed to die with
her.

Ste. Genevieve Art Guild

The most productive periods I
have worked on my art have
been while I have been a
member of the
Ste Genevieve Art Guild.

I have finally begun to develop a
true passion for my work, and a
style of my own.  I work, now, for
the art, not for the sales or
recognition, which rarely, or
sporadically come to an artist,
anyway!
